There are few things more meaningful than photographing the women who hold our families together. Our Mother’s Day Mini Sessions are quickly becoming one of my most treasured events of the year—not just because of the portraits we create, but because of the stories behind them.

This year’s minis were held in early April—timed just right so families could gift their printed portraits in time for Mother’s Day. And as always, the studio was filled with laughter, happy tears, and the quiet joy of being together. The custom sets were designed with softness, warmth, and elegance in mind—creating the perfect space for moms to simply show up and be surrounded by love.

We welcomed so many beautiful families into the studio, and every session told its own heartfelt story:

💗 A three-generation session that brought together grandparents, children, and grandkids—capturing legacy, wisdom, and the joy of generations gathered in one frame.

4 Generation Family Portraits

👶 A glowing first-time mama celebrating her very first Mother’s Day with her sweet baby girl in her arms. Their bond was already so strong—it was an honor to preserve that connection for her to look back on one day.

Mother Daughter First Mother's Day Photos

🌸 A four-generation family who makes these minis an annual tradition. Watching their family grow and seeing the consistency of their love year after year has been incredibly moving. These portraits are a gift to their future generations.

Multi-Generational Family Portraits

📸 A fellow photographer finally stepped out from behind the lens to be photographed with her two boys. As photographers, we so often capture memories for others and forget to create them for ourselves. It was powerful to give that gift back to her.

Candid Mother Son Portraits

🌷 And of course, I stepped in front of the camera, too—alongside my own mom and my son. Creating a portrait of the three of us together was something I’ll treasure forever. It reminded me exactly why these sessions matter.

After each session, families stayed to sip Mimosas (or non-alcoholic refreshments), nibble on treats, and soak in the joy of the experience. It wasn’t just about the photos—it was about making space for moms to feel seen, celebrated, and deeply loved.

These moments—big and small—deserve to be documented. Not just for today, but for the years ahead when we want to remember the way she laughed, the way she held us, and the way she made everything feel like home.

Because she deserves to be in the frame.
She deserves to be remembered.
She deserves this.
