A Coastal Rhode Island Engagement Session | Alia and Danin

We love when couples choose locations that hold meaning to their story—Danin and Alia did just that. From shaded trails at Goddard Park to a sunset stroll at the beach where they got engaged, their session was the perfect mix of heartfelt and fun.

From custom cars to coastal walks—Danin and Alia’s love story is effortlessly cool and deeply personal. We were lucky enough to capture that vibe during their recent engagement session, and let’s just say…we’re obsessed.

These two first met through their shared love of car shows, which makes sense when you see how naturally they vibe together—easy, stylish, and in sync. Their first date was at Asia Grille, and years later, Danin proposed during a beach walk with their pups at Compass Rose Beach. That moment—simple, scenic, and full of heart—set the tone for their session.

We kicked things off at Goddard Park, where the soft greens and shaded paths gave us the perfect backdrop for some relaxed portraits under the trees. From there, we headed to Compass Rose Beach to catch the golden light—wrapping the session at the very place where Danin got down on one knee. It was a full-circle moment, and having their dogs along made it even more meaningful.

Danin and Alia told us they rarely take photos together, so having an engagement session felt like more than just checking a box—it was about documenting a time in their lives that’s usually experienced behind the scenes. They wanted something they could hold onto and look back on, something that felt “organic but posed,” as Alia described it.

One of their favorite shots ended up being a tie between the beach images with their dogs and the portraits with the trees filtering light through the leaves. There’s an effortless honesty to those photos—relaxed, connected, and truly them.

What made the biggest impression on Danin and Alia was how relaxed the entire experience felt. “We were able to really be ourselves and enjoy it,” they shared. “You answered all our questions, and some we didn’t even know we had. You made it so stress-free.”

We’re thrilled they love the images as much as we do, and even more excited to be part of their wedding day story. These two brought their whole hearts to the session, and it shows in every frame.
