This year was a year of change for our Fall Holiday Mini Session, so we thought we would try offering an in-studio mini session for those who could not attend the outdoor date. Fall, and more specifically October, is always a busy time of year for families. Kids are back in school, but the weather is still nice enough on the weekends to have you out and about doing things – between sports, apple picking, pumpkin carving, and maybe squeezing in one more camping trip over Columbus Day free time fills up fast – trust us, we know!!!

In the past, some families have also showed preference for indoor sessions, so we figured why not schedule a special date in November just for them and those that were too busy in October? We knew the indoor sessions at our studio would probably be less popular than the outdoor, so we opened four time slots and booked half of them. For sets at the studio, we designed one with a neutral color scheme and another red festive set. While both were super cozy, the neutral set was by far the most popular!

It is usual for us to take our own family portraits during our mini sessions as well, and while this year was full of changes, that was another tradition we stuck with. It is not every day the photographer gets to dress up and have their pictures taken, so I wasn’t going to miss the opportunity. Shout out to my assistant Jen, for getting such a great picture of us!
