With an “elegant country garden” theme and a coastal backdrop, Kelsey and Jonathan's wedding was the perfect blend of refined charm and laid-back celebration.

Perched on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, this venue is a dream for couples wanting both coastal views and elevated event spaces. From the moment guests arrived at the resort, they were welcomed with lush greenery, florals in soft blush and ivory hues, and the kind of golden light you hope for but can’t plan. The ceremony unfolded on the manicured lawn, where Jonathon watched Kelsey walk down the aisle looking, in his words, “absolutely gorgeous”—a moment that felt frozen in time.
For wedding party portraits, Kelsey had a vision—and a smart backup plan in case of rain. We headed to Ochre Court, a breathtaking Gilded Age mansion located on the Salve Regina University campus. With stunning architecture both inside and out, sweeping views of the waterfront, and grand staircases that practically beg for editorial-style portraits, it offered the perfect luxe backdrop. Whether you're dreaming of an elegant indoor setting or a timeless coastal estate look, Ochre Court is a dream for couples looking for that classic Newport atmosphere. The results? Absolutely gallery-worthy.

After they said “I do,” the newlyweds stepped into one of their favorite memories: “Walking into cocktail hour after just saying ‘I do’ and seeing all of our loved ones enjoying themselves with the Mariachi band playing in a beautifully decorated space,” said Kelsey. Guests sipped signature cocktails, mingled under string lights, and swayed to vibrant live music in a space that felt both elegant and alive.

Their first dance to “Solo Para Ti” by Camila was the perfect nod to their shared love and heritage—soulful, romantic, and completely unforgettable. What made it even more incredible? Kelsey and Jonathan worked with Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Warwick for months leading up to the big day. Rogelio Garcia, one of their amazing coaches, choreographed their dance, and it took nearly six months of dedicated practice to perfect every move. And let us tell you—it showed. The performance was graceful, emotional, and completely seamless. They weren’t counting steps; they were fully in the moment, totally connected, and absolutely owning the floor. It was one of those wow moments that guests will be talking about for years.

As photographers, we’ve seen our share of venues, but working with The Atlantic Resort and their staff was a standout experience. The team there was professional, incredibly friendly, and truly attentive—not just to Kelsey and Jonathon, but to all the vendors. With so many moving parts behind the scenes, it felt like we were all part of one team with a shared goal: to make the day run seamlessly. Every need was anticipated, every timeline respected, and OMG—the vendor meals? Multiple courses, actual table service, and yes… we got bread. If you know, you know. It was hospitality at its finest, and we felt genuinely taken care of while doing our best work.
Throughout the day, our job was more than just taking photos—it was about capturing their story as it naturally unfolded. Kelsey and Jonathon chose us because “the engagement photos you did for us were amazing, and your communication is excellent,” and it was an absolute joy to see that connection deepen on the wedding day.

Behind the scenes, we were there for every unplanned moment, too—like when we hopped in our personal car to shuttle them to the photo location to save time for dreamy portraits, or when a gust of wind tried to steal Kelsey’s veil mid-ceremony (don’t worry, we saved it 😄). “You saved my veil from becoming one with the ocean!” she laughed, and that kind of trust is something we never take for granted.
What stood out most to them? “How you were able to keep the wedding timeline on track, your attention to detail, your engagement and passion.” For us, that’s what it's all about—helping couples feel fully present, while making sure the real, honest, beautiful moments don’t go unnoticed.
“We want to be able to look back at the photos in the future and remember what an incredible day we had, and also to see all of the special moments captured that day that we didn't witness.” – Kelsey & Jonathan
