A classic Newport Wedding at the Newport Marriott.
Since Caitlin lives in Florida, it was actually her mom and maid-of-honor who first connected with me at the Newport Wedding Show at Rosecliff back in 2022 – and we hit it off instantly! After the show we did a Zoom meeting to officially “meet” Caitlyn and Zach to discuss their plans and how we could help capture their wedding day memories. They loved the fact that we are a Wife and Husband team and really liked the photos from our website - Caitlin said they knew we would be a great fit!
Caitlin and Zach chose the Newport Marriott as the location for their wedding, and if you’re not already familiar, it is situated right in the heart of Newport harbor on the waterfront. We love its location near the marinas so there are plenty of seaside photo-ops. On top of that, the hotel has recently been renovated and offers tons of natural light, nautical vibes, and modern décor. Oh, and did we mention there is parking? Definitely a plus in downtown Newport!
Caitlin and Zach’s wedding was filled with SO many memorable moments: The vows they wrote were really cute and referenced personal details from their relationship. Caitlin’s stepdad officially adopted her a few days prior to the wedding so their father/daughter’s first look and dance were extra special - She cried when she saw him! Additionally, Caitlin danced with her mom to Celine Dion’s "Because You Loved Me" and they put on a performance - which the guests LOVED! If you ever have the opportunity to sneak in a surprise or two for your guests, we recommend it! Their guestbook was also really cool; it was from Fetefone, and it’s a vintage phone where guests can leave the couple a voicemail to hear later on. It was the first time we’d seen this at a wedding, and everyone had a lot of fun with it!

Communicative, Understanding, and someone to catch great candid photos!
What was your favorite part about working with us?
You both understood what we wanted and what was important to us - and you allowed us to be ourselves!
Did we help solve any unexpected wedding day problems?
Yes! The groom and groomsmen weren’t where they were supposed to be, and they almost saw me in the dress before the ceremony! Nicole acted immediately and handled the situation in less than a minute.
Was there anything that you learned about us and how we shoot that you didn't know ahead of time? Very efficient! All group photos were done quickly, and we were able to get back for cocktail hour promptly.
What was it like planning a wedding from out of state? What resources helped with the planning process?
It was a little challenging planning out of state but the fact that we could call and do Zoom meetings and photo viewings made everything so much better!
