Fresh 48 Photo Session with Baby Jameson
You may remember Lexsi from her absolutely STUNNING maternity session with her fur baby Max the horse on her family’s farm a few weeks ago. Well, good thing we got those maternity photos when we did, because baby Jameson joined us in the world right after on October 23rd!
While her maternity session was planned out with that gorgeous red gown and of course, a horse, that is not how this session would be. Fresh 48s are more impromptu since us adults have little say in the exact timing of when the little one arrives! Lexsi shot us a text message when she went into labor and for the next few hours, I sat by my phone waiting to hear Jameson was here and ready for a visit!
Armed with just my camera, I met baby Jameson when he was only a few hours old at the hospital. Since Fresh 48 photo sessions do not involve props and lighting like newborn sessions, they are shot in a more photo journalistic style. Essentially, this means the photographer disappears into the background and documents the experience without interfering with the family. This is how you get pure, unobstructed, meaningful photos during those first few hours new parents spend bonding with their little bundle of joy.
