The Jennings family originally planned to have their grandma and auntie’s 90th birthday combo celebration in the summer of 2020. Unfortunately, (as with everything else) COVID ruined those plans – so fast forward to summer of 2021 when the Jennings family had their grandma and auntie’s 91st birthday combo celebration, instead!
Since they had family coming in from all over the country, they reserved the Boulder Cottages in Charlestown, Rhode Island for the big party. When they contacted us for family portraits, it was the obvious location choice for their photo sessions; there was plenty of room and lots of lush greenery to use as a backdrop!
Because COVID had kept everyone apart for so long, this really became a family reunion and birthday combo party! It was a big one too, 26 people altogether – three generations of the Jennings’ family at once. As usual, we started with the big group photo and then worked our way through each individual family. This is great for giving the younger (and older!) members a chance to rest between photos. We even got a few candid shots of them playing lawn games together and enjoying each other’s company at the cottages. 2020 may have been a disappointment, but they certainly made up for it in 2021!
