Urban X, short for Urban Exploration, is all about peeling back the layers of abandoned structures.

It’s a journey that fixates on forgotten corners and unravels the stories that time has left behind. While compiling images for this piece, I really enjoyed digging into the historical essence of each structure, exploring every nook and cranny, and questioning what events took place during the building’s prime.

I also became fascinated with how nature plays a role in the abandonment of these structures, overgrowing and reclaiming the space in a way that’s both eerie and beautiful. But beyond the thrill of exploration, the satisfaction of curiosity, and the continual amazement at nature’s perseverance, Urban X serves as a quiet act of keeping things alive. Through this project, I hope I have succeeded in capturing a small piece of history and preserving some near-forgotten stories.
