A proposal is one of the most unforgettable moments in a relationship. It’s exciting, emotional, and over in a matter of seconds. Proposal photography captures that moment as it happens, so you can relive the surprise, the reaction, and the joy for years to come.

Photographing the moment it happens

Proposal photography is all about timing and preparation. Before the day, we’ll talk through your plan, the location, and how the moment will unfold so everything feels seamless.

When the time comes, I’ll be nearby and ready to capture the reaction naturally as it happens. Once the question has been asked and the excitement settles in, we can also take a few portraits together to celebrate the moment.

Planning the proposal together

Many proposals involve a little coordination behind the scenes. I’m happy to help think through locations, timing, and the best way to photograph the moment without taking away from the experience.

Whether the proposal is happening along the Rhode Island coast, in downtown Providence, or somewhere meaningful to your relationship, the goal is always the same: to capture the moment naturally without interrupting it.

After the proposal

After the proposal, we’ll usually take a few relaxed portraits together. These photos often become some of the first images couples share when announcing their engagement.

They’re also a great way to celebrate the moment while everything is still fresh and exciting.
