How I Photograph Weddings
I photograph weddings with an editorial eye and a calm, steady presence. I’ll guide you when it’s helpful, especially during portraits, and then I’ll step back so the day can unfold naturally. The goal isn’t to manufacture moments. It’s to notice them and preserve them, the real ones, as they happen.
Paul photographs alongside me. We work as a wife-and-husband team, which means you get two perspectives and fuller coverage without it ever feeling like a production.
What I’m Holding Onto For You
Your wedding day is a room full of relationships. The people who raised you, the people who carried you through hard seasons, the friends who’ve been there since the beginning, all in one place. It’s more than a moment — it’s a reflection of every connection that helped lead you to each other.
I pay attention to the emotion of the day, the glances, the reactions, the hands reaching for each other, the people who love you watching it happen. Those are the photographs that matter more and more as time passes.

A Team, Not a Crowd
Because Paul and I photograph together, more of the day is captured in real time. While I’m with you for portraits or key moments, Paul can be photographing the reactions around you, your guests, your family, the parts you won’t see until later. It’s one of the biggest advantages of hiring a team that already knows each other’s rhythm.
“Nicole and her husband Paul are like ninjas behind the camera… making their presence almost invisible. They captured moments I didn’t even notice happening.” — Erin Colligan (The Knot)

What It’s Like To Work Together
Most couples tell me they’re a little nervous about photos. That’s normal. You don’t need to be “good at posing.” I’ll give you direction that’s clear and flattering, without over-managing you. I want you to feel like yourselves, and I want your photos to look like that too.
On the wedding day, I’m steady and organized. We keep portraits moving, we keep the energy calm, and we make sure photography supports the day instead of taking it over.
The wedding day flow
Before the wedding
We’ll talk through what matters most to you, then I’ll help shape a photo flow that protects your time. If family photos matter, we’ll make them organized. If you want a quieter portrait moment, we’ll build it in. The goal is to walk into the day feeling prepared, not overwhelmed.
On the wedding day
I’ll guide portraits simply, then step back and document the story as it unfolds, the emotion, the people, the atmosphere, the in-between moments.
After the wedding
You’ll receive a beautifully edited collection of images that tells the full story of your day. After your session, we’ll invite you into the studio for a guided viewing and ordering appointment where you can see your images for the first time and receive expert guidance in selecting your favorites. Together, we’ll design custom albums and curate wall art—heirloom pieces meant to be enjoyed in your home every day. Once selections are finalized, your gallery will also be available online so family and friends can view and place their own print orders.
“On the big day, they made us feel completely comfortable and captured every moment so naturally, nothing felt forced or overly posed.” — Kelsey K (The Knot)
