Fine Art Photography : Reflections

Reflection Series

I enjoy the visual interplay between glass and reality, as the lines between the outside and inside get muddied, and unexpected shadows and reflections intrude on the image.

Several people are seen through large glass panels as they walk through the entrance of a modern building.

Everyday Scenes Through Distorted Glass

In The Reflection Series, I focus on the commonplace sights of streets and alleyways, captured through the refracting glass of window panes. Using slight distortion, these images are inspired by the photography of Lee Friedlander and my own interest in seeing the ordinary in a new way.

Through the smooth surface of plate glass, I aim to evoke the vibrant, bustling energy of city streets. Reflections reveal everyday scenes—from casual window-shopping to passersby chatting on their cellphones—transforming mundane moments into glimpses of shared human experience. By intentionally distorting the details, these familiar scenes invite viewers to reconsider the ordinary, bridging geographical boundaries and cultural divides while celebrating the small, fleeting moments that connect us all.

Mirrored moments

Reflections that blur the line between reality and illusion, capturing layered perspectives and quiet symmetry in the everyday world.
