photo of wedding invitations and wedding shoesWhat a way to kick off 2020!

The day started with getting ready photos at Hotel Providence. Both Taylor and Tom each had their own conference rooms for breakfast, coffees, hair & make up (the girls) and getting ready for the wedding party. Taylor put her wedding dress on in the Roger Williams Suite (the perfect suite to get ready in). You cannot beat the almost floor to ceiling windows soaking the room with natural light, spacious bathroom with separate shower and tub. A kitchenette off the living room – absolutely fabulous!

They did not let the overcast skies and misting rain ruin their wedding photo plans – instead they embraced it –, which we love! We then hopped in the shuttle by Arrow Prestige (thanks Leo) and headed over the RI State House for some exterior and interior photos. The white marble of the State House created a nice contrast to the wedding parties black gowns and tuxes.

hotel providence staircase wedding photos bride and groomAfter a ceremony this afternoon at a jaw dropping Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the Main Stage Dining Room. We just loved the Champagne welcome display that greeted guests as they walked in. It was definitely Instagram worthy as many guests stopped to snap a quick photo before grabbing their glass. Later, friends and family were invited to celebrate the reception in the timelessly decorated Tilden Thurber Ballroom. The red, white and black color theme was cohesive throughout the décor. With stunning black velvet tablecloth with a silver metallic napkin, and complementing silver chiavari chairs!

A quick Q&A with Tom and Taylor when they picked up their wedding photos this afternoon:

Q: What was the favorite part of your ceremony and / or reception moment?
A: "When our favorite song “I Love You” came on during the reception and we danced together like no one else was there and had our special moment."

Q: What was your favorite part about working with us?
A:
"We LOVED your wedding table display and albums offered! I felt I was working with someone I have known for years and made us feel so comfortable."

Q: What advice would you offer couples looking to hire a photographer?
A:
"Making sure there is a mutual understanding of the wedding couple and photographers on what you are looking for. Bride / Groom needs to know what they are looking for and what is most important to them."

Taylor and Tom's advice for planning a wedding... "Just have fun! This is not supposed to be a stressful time you should enjoy every step during this planning."
