Courtney, Mike, & Their Pup Penelope in Colt State Park for Engagement Photos
This state park offers a variety of backdrops without having the travel far between locations.
We met Courtney and Mike at the Newport Wedding Show ages ago before Covid struck, and Newport had a wedding show. This lucky couple won our door prize of a free engagement session and 16x20 canvas wrap and were finally able to start planning their wedding and engagement shoot this summer!
When they reached out to us, they mentioned they wanted a nice park so (naturally) we suggested Colt State in Bristol, Rhode Island. We have mentioned before why we love it for its diverse scenery along the east bay; it is perfect for capturing green fields, bridges, stone walls, and of course those Instagram worthy sunset shots!
On the day of their engagement session, Mike’s mom joined us to wrangle Penelope (their fur baby) when she was not needed in their photos. We love when couples bring their pets along; their presence tends to relax them and bring them joy. Plus, they are like children so obviously they are needed, too - and having grandma around always helps (trust us)!
Courtney and Mike were so happy with the finished photos they purchased several more canvas wraps and prints in addition to the one they won to give to family as gifts. We are especially excited they decided to book us for their August 2022 wedding at the gorgeous Mt. Washington Omni Hotel in New Hampshire, so stay tuned for those amazing pictures to come!
