Deadpool Maternity Photos

I had the absolute honor of capturing the maternity photos for my cousin, Tanya, and her husband, Craig. This was a two-part session, with the in-studio portion taking place first and the sunset photos happening a week later at their family's home.

Tanya is one of my favorite people, and I was thrilled to document this special time in their lives. Craig is a huge Marvel fan, especially Deadpool, so he made sure to bring his costume along for the shoot. We had a blast incorporating it into a few photos, making the session even more unique and fun.

The second part of the session took place at the couple's home, which has been in their family for many years. The yellow house holds a special place in Tanya's heart, as she has many fond memories growing up there. It was important to capture not only the sunset but also the significance of this location.

Short Interview with Tanya

Q: What was your favorite part about working with me?
A: Nicole made the shoot fun, gave guidance, and let us know when we got the shot. I loved hearing her say "oh that one's cute." She made me feel like a model.

Q: What tips could you offer another family about the importance of hiring a professional photographer vs say, a friend with a camera?   
A: You're never going to have these milestone memories again. We felt comfortable leaving it to a professional who knew how to get the shot we didn't even know we needed or would cherish forever. Nicole listened to our normal, Pinterest idea for a photo and then took it to the next level with her photography and then edited it for the final touches to give it the "Nicole Gesmondi stamp of approval."
