We first met Jen and Dan wayyyy back in 2008, almost 15 years ago! Since then, we’ve photographed not only their wedding, but a bunch of newborn, cake smash, and portraits of them as their family has grown. We are honored to be their “go-to” photographer for capturing life’s major milestones on film!
A few years ago, Jen coordinated with her brother and sister in law to have a family portrait taken to give as a gift to their mom - FYI, moms love that! This year, it was time to update that portrait as both Jen and her brother’s families have grown. This time, instead of making the finished photo a surprise gift for mom, they decided to invite their parents to the photo session so they could be in the photos – FYI, moms love that, too!
Since we scheduled their family photoshoot for mid-October, we agreed Roger Williams Park in Providence would be the ideal location for colorful fall foliage. When mother nature puts on a show, you’ve got to take advantage! As usual, with such a large multi-generational group to photograph, we started with the larger group portraits while everyone was still fresh, and then paired our way down to smaller group shots with the individual families. We find this is the best approach to get the best result!
In the end, the whole family was so happy with their photos they ordered multiple canvas wraps, collages, and holiday cards! We’re working on the custom designs for those now, just so happy these beautiful family photos will be displayed for years to come!
UPDATE: below are the finished collages that we designed for each family.
As you can see, custom designed canvas wraps make great gifts for the holiday for your parents and grandparents. Who needs another restaurant gift card or sweater?!
