We first met Mike and Lauren through their wedding venue, Wannamoisett Country Club. Lauren was considering a package that we were part of so we scheduled a phone call to touch base. We instantly hit it off and it's been a blast getting to know these two!
We always try to schedule our client's engagement sessions later in the day when the lighting isn't as harsh. Many couples opt to push the session into the early evening to try to catch the sunset if possible. I knew we were going to get along great when Mike created a power point presentation of the various lighting at the different locations within Watch Hill that he and Lauren wanted to go to! Lighting is such a HUGE aspect of photograph especially at sunset so this was perfect!
Mike and Lauren had essentially 3 different locations they wanted to go to: The Gazebo, Napatree Point Beach near where Mike proposed and the Watch Hill Lighthouse. They knew they wanted to end at the lighthouse so we just back tracked from there to ensure we would be at the lighthouse in time to set up and test the lighting. Everything worked out perfectly! Totally in love with these images! Here are a few favorites from their session.
Mike and Lauren are tying the knot in August 2020! Interested in a stellar sunset engagement session for yourself?
