Sometimes when you know, you just know – and that’s how Aimee and I felt about each other after our initial Zoom call (she was in North Carolina at the time) to talk about her upcoming wedding to Chris (in Rhode Island) on October 15th, 2022.
We instantly hit it off and had lots of laughs! I told her that if she didn’t hire me, I at least wanted to be invited to her wedding because it sounded like it would be a blast. She described their vision as having "Informal, classy, intimate, and plenty of gin and tonic vibes" - who wouldn’t want to be part of a wedding like that!!?! We said sign us up and so they did!
For the venue of their informal, classy, intimate, and plenty of gin and tonic wedding, Chris and Aimee chose the Waterman Grille in Providence, Rhode Island. It’s a great spot for a cozy celebration in the city with water views of the Seekonk River – totally romantic! As you can imagine from the wedding theme, Chris and Aimee’s family and friends were a fun bunch. All the guests got into doing "Jazz Hands" (used in performance dance to convey excitement) for their group table photos - it was definitely unique and made the photos more enjoyable for everybody!
When I later asked them what they remember most about their wedding day, they said: The toasts by the Best Man and Matron of Honor, looking out at the room and seeing our loved ones, the fantastic food from Waterman Grille, and the fun dance party provided by DJ Corey from Outside the Box Productions. Of course, we captured photos of all those moments for them, and we can’t wait to see their reactions when we show them their finished gallery!
