Maternity Photos on Blackstone Boulevard in Providence, Rhode Island
When considering locations for maternity sessions (or any photo session, really) do not overthink it! Often the most beautiful setting can be found close to home. That was the case for Theresa and Corey, who chose to have their maternity photos taken on Blackstone Boulevard in Providence, Rhode Island near where they live. We even made a stop at Swan Point Cemetery, which might sound odd, but the ornate iron entrance gate and stone wall makes a stunning backdrop; It is just so pretty - and yes, we have the photos to prove it!
We scheduled the session for when Theresa was 30 weeks pregnant. This is earlier in a pregnancy than we typically do maternity photos, but we planned it earlier than usual due to Theresa and Corey’s upcoming babymoon plans (a FABULOUS idea!), since there would not be enough time after their return. The weather was overcast and cool, and the fog made for a moody and ethereal backdrop; Even though we were all damp towards the end of the session, these expectant parents stuck it out like pros!
For maternity sessions, we always suggest our clients bring items to personalize their photos. Theresa and Corey chose a few baby outfits and a few stuffed toys, which is not that unusual – although the poop pillow was definitely a first for us! We do not judge, it was a sentimental item for Theresa, and that is all that mattered to us. Turns out the photo of them with the pillow was one of their favorites and ordered a print of it!
