We first met Matt and Kate at the Newport Bridal show and immediately felt it was a good fit! Matt and Kate love sailing so they made sure their venue was on the water with a good view! Their invitations, wedding website / blog, guest sign in board and table numbers all revolved around the Dutch Island Lighthouse that the couple liked to sail by. Dutch Island is one of my favorite spots for photos too!
The day started with getting ready photos at OceanCliff in Newport, RI. The ceremony took place at Kay Chapel which is a super cute chapel on a side street in Newport. Small but with lots of light - perfect for photos.
Family and wedding party photos took place at a local park with lots of greenery. Then we headed over to the reception at Regatta Place for cocktails, dinner and dancing. We were able to get a few photos of the couple on a near by boat for some beautiful images. What's a nautical Newport wedding without photos of the bride and groom on a sail boat?
