Ben’s Birthday Surprise Proposal to Anna at Gurney’s Newport Resort & Marina
Ben reached out to us in Fall of 2020 with an amazing idea for a surprise proposal to his girlfriend, Anna. For HIS 40th birthday, she scheduled a romantic getaway for them in Rhode Island at Gurney’s Newport Resort & Marina. The weekend was supposed to be all about him, but Ben had other plans! He figured while she was busy spoiling him, she would never suspect he was secretly plotting to propose to her on HIS big day!
In the days leading up to his birthday weekend in Newport, we text Ben and strategized about where on Gurney’s beautiful waterfront he would pop the question. We even googled what time sunset was on that day so the timing and the views of the Newport Bridge would be perfect!
On his birthday, we positioned ourselves accordingly in a discreet location & waited for Ben & Anna to come along on their sunset stroll towards the Gurney’s lighthouse. As planned, the timing was perfect! He stopped to propose, and we popped out of our hiding spots & photographed her super (birthday) surprise!
Obviously, she said “YES!”
