For those who do not know, Rhode Island is divided into two parts: and East Bay and a West Bay. While the East has Colt State Park for fantastic photo ops, the West has Goddard Park. They are literally across Narragansett Bay from each other and offer rivaling views! Goddard is known for large ancient trees, sandy beaches, walking trails, and of course, tons of foliage in the fall! Since the Harrington’s are a West Bay family, Goddard Park was the obvious choice for a photo shoot!
Steph saw our photography from her best friend’s Minimony last August and gave us a call. We happened to have the following day free and the weather looked promising, so we booked them for a last minute family portrait session in the park. You would NEVER guess Steph had less than 24 hours to plan who was wearing what! Those adorable animal print skirts, black leather jackets and mini Doc Martens were SO COOL, I wanted an adult version!
These photos were also super important to Steph because she had weight loss surgery at the beginning of the year and has been working at living healthier, so it was time to show off her new body! She WANTED to be in photos now and her confidence stands out!
Our afternoon together at Goddard Park was such a good time, and the gorgeous sunset at the end was a beautiful bonus! Steph was blown away by not only the quality of the photos but the variety as well. We make sure to change up the backgrounds during shoots and this is exactly the reason why! She also commented on how we engaged her kids, got them to relax, and directed them. Rumor has it her BFF went to another photographer and did not love the photos, so Steph told her to "call Nicole next year" – to which we say, Thank you!!!
