A Big Shebang Wedding Reception at the Graduate Providence
You might remember Trish and Harley from their Providence Winter Minimony at the Graduate Hotel last year, and we’re happy to report Covid times are over and on January 15th they went back to the Graduate for their “big shebang” wedding reception with all their friends and family! An added bonus? They added a vow renewal, too!
Some people may wonder why they incorporated a vow renewal so soon after taking vows the first time, but simply put, Trish and Harley wanted EVERYONE they loved to see them express their love to each other since last year their minimony was restricted to the immediate family. Isn’t that the sweetest!? For any of their family and friends who were bummed about missing it for Covid, they now had an opportunity to be a part of their union. It was beautiful!
Now back to that “big shebang” reception we mentioned… The bridal party was decked out in red and black tartan to match the groomsmen’s kilts, so right away you know this was going to be a fun, one-of-a-kind kind of reception! Highlights include a guest using his shoe as a phone while dancing, a pair of tiny hands that somehow ended up in a lot of photos, and a cardboard cutout of Trish and Harley’s dog, Mona, who could not attend the party!
The reception had the more traditional elements, too. There was the cake cutting, the dances, and a touching speech from daughter Mara about how perfect Trish was for her dad. You could tell everyone was so happy to celebrate the marriage of these two people, and we were thrilled to be a part of it!
